Staying Blonde

Ever since school people have always commented on my hair and asked if I dye it, when in fact I am lucky enough to be a natural blonde - despite everyone in my family having dark hair!

Obviously in the summer everyone's hair is a lot lighter but in the Winter it starts to look a bit dull, so here are some of the products I use to keep my hair this blonde.
John Frieda Sheer Blonde lightening spray, Superdrug wash in colour, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Mask

John Frieda has a huge range of products for blonde hair. My favourite is the 'Go Blonder' collection which helps to lighten hair. I use the lightening spray on wet hair after I've washed it - this product is heat activated so works best if you blowdry and straighten hair afterwards. There's also a shampoo and conditioner in the collection too.

At Halloween I dressed up as Cruella DeVille and sprayed one side of my hair black. It took days to wash out completely and left my hair with a horrible texture so I used Superdrug's Colour Effects wash in shampoo in the lightest shade (8:1 Cool Blonde) just to get all the black out completely and restore it to my natural colour. I love these wash in colours as they are super cheap (Superdrug's is about £1.99 and a bottle gives you three applications) and effective at topping up colour. I've never actually used them to change the colour of my hair just to maintain my current colour.

Even though I don't dye my hair I used products for coloured hair just to keep it shiny and in good condition! At the moment I'm using Aussie Colour Mate shampoo and once every couple of weeks I use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Treatment. I put the conditioning mask on my hair before I shampoo it otherwise it leaves it greasy and limp!

Do you colour your hair or are you all natural?
