Back in January I was invited for a free facial at the Origins counter in House of Fraser and since then I have fallen in love with their products! The Modern Friction scrub became a favourite but at the time I was trying to save money so bought the Perfect World cleanser instead. Luckily for me the lovely people over at Origins Head Office sent me Modern Friction as a thank you for posting about my facial - I thought this was a lovely gesture as many companies don't often send out thank you's and I wasn't expecting it at all!
Modern Friction is a gentle dermabrasion scrub that gets rid of dead skin cells and smooths out the skin to leave it luminous! As with all Origins products the ingredients are 100% natural - this one is made with rice starch to refine the skin and lemon oil to brighten. I absolutely love this face scrub. I used to use a scrub on my face daily but realised it was much too harsh so now use a gentle cleanser and this exfoliant once or twice a week and I've noticed a real difference in my skin. My skin is so much softer after using it, pores are reduced and I look fresh and awake!
The scrub has quite a thick texture, more like a paste than a gel. You just massage a small amount over dry skin (or if you have sensitive skin dampen your face first or else it can be a little harsh) then splash a little water on your face and it transforms into a creamy lather. I imagine this to be similar to the Dermalogica Microfoliant if anyone has tried that.
I can't recommend this enough to anyone! A 125ml bottle costs £31 from House of Fraser - at first I was a little put off by the price but I can say that it is definitely worth it. As with all high quality products a little goes a long way and you really don't need to use a lot of it, a small amount covers your whole face. And I only use this weekly so used as a treat every now and then a bottle will last you a long time.
Have you tried Origins products? What do you think of them?
It amazing! Thanks for the review! I really want to try it but it's quite pricey! isn't it? Have you tried their cleansing oil?
