A #MiniMexican evening with Old El Paso

It is a little known fact that I love Mexican food (I once went to Wahaca four times in one week...) and I often try to recreate the deliciousness at home with the various different kits from Old El Paso. So I jumped at the chance to visit Old El Paso's Mini Cantina on London's Southbank this week to celebrate the launch of their mini Stand n Stuff tortillas.

Keeping with the mini theme, we were greeted by a child mariachi band (who were all adorable!) shaking their maracas outside the mini canteen, which looked a little like a kid's playhouse - so cute! After some delicious mocktails we took our seats inside the restaurant and found out a bit more about Old El Paso's mini tortillas before getting to taste them for ourselves. There was a choice between chicken, beef or butternut squash with endless amounts of salsa, guacamole and sour cream to accompany our meal!

Stand n Stuff tortillas are boat shaped to make them easier to fill, hold and eat. The new mini versions are perfect for mixing and matching fillings - ideal for little ones or for parties! Coming away with my own mini tortilla kit, as well as a cute little sombrero hat, has got me in the Mexican mood and I can't wait to get cooking with mine!

Thank you Old El Paso for a great evening.

  1. I'm interested in reserving this place because choosing the right venue which does not favor a specific culture becomes difficult. Halls here have fountains and elaborate pictures. Some event venue Chicago display traditional artifacts and paintings.
