An Oldie but a Goodie - Pixi Glow Tonic

Pixi Beauty's Glow Tonic has become a hero skincare product and is used and loved by pretty much everyone. Up until last year I had never used Glow Tonic before but had seen it in virtually every beauty magazine, website and Instagram feed, so knew I had to try it for myself!

Glow Tonic helps tone, firm and tighten the skin. It removes dead skin cells for healthier looking skin. As an alternative to your usual face scrub, it contains Glycolic Acid which acts as an exfoliator and purifies skin. It also contains Ginseng, which improves circulation and energises, and Aloe Vera, to soothe and hydrate. In one quick, gentle sweep it refines pores and accelerates cell renewal to reveal brighter skin.

Pixi very kindly recently sent me this huge personalised bottle of Glow Tonic so I'm fully stocked for the year!

My skin is quite dry so I'm always wary of products being too harsh or abrasive on my skin, however, I've found that using it a couple of times a week in the evening has worked wonders and been really effective. Pixi states you can use it morning and evening but I prefer to just it at night time.

Glow Tonic is so well loved it is now one of ASOS’ top two best-selling beauty products and Pixi launched the #GlowTonicChallenge a while back, encouraging people to post pictures of their cotton pad after sweeping Glow Tonic over their face - to prove how much grime it takes away!

Pixi also recently launched Glow Tonic To Go – These Travel-friendly pads pre-soaked in Glow Tonic to tone, brighten, hydrate and gently exfoliate for clean, renewed skin. No need to fuss with carrying cotton wool pads and separate products. They contain 5% Glycolic Acid. The only thing for me is that the pads aren’t smooth like a piece of cotton wool – they are slightly raised which could be enough to exfoliate skin on its own. For me they didn’t have quite the same effect as the tonic on its own but they are a great option for congested skin while travelling.

Glow Tonic costs £18 for 250ml and is available direct from Pixi Beauty or at all leading beauty stores!
