The Works With Water Clear Skin Challenge!

Hello! A bit of a personal post today and I was a bit dubious about whether to blog about this or not as I get embarrassed about my skin sometimes but hopefully if I gain results with this it will help other people too!

A while ago I posted about the struggle I had with acne while I was at school and college, and how I gave up on taking medication for it as although it helped to control the acne it never went away for good. Going on the pill cleared my skin up a lot but now that I've taken a break from it I've noticed my skin has been flaring up from it so I've decided to give this a go!

This week I started taking 'help: clear skin' supplements by the company Works With Water. It is a natural supplement that contains lactoferrin, from milk protein, to help clear blemishes. You add one sachet to food or drink and take daily.

One box (a week's supply) costs £10.99 from the Works with Water website and the supplement needs to be taken for at least 4-6 weeks before any results are noticed. So it is very pricey but you can also buy in bulk off their website for a four week supply would cost £31.47 instead of £41.96.

The product is made from all natural ingredients and doesn't have any side effects. For the past two days I've been mixing mine in a glass of water and it is completely taste free so I don't even notice it's there.

It was very difficult for me to post this picture but it shows why I'm doing the challenge and will help me to mark my progress. This post is really just introducing you to my challenge, I will be taking the supplements for the next 8 weeks and will photograph my skin at the end of each week. So here I am at the start of the challenge! Generally my skin isn't bad although I do have a lot of acne scarring on my cheeks (which you can see above) and the supplement claims to help with scarring as well as preventing blemishes. I get the odd spot around my mouth or on my chin from time to time which is mainly hormonal/poor digestion but I also get a lot of blemishes on my cheek from make-up as I wear blusher daily and this often clogs my pores.

So, wish me luck! If anyone else has experience with these supplements I would love to know how you got on, or what other supplements or procedures anyone has taken to improve their skin. Thanks for reading!
